This factsheet presents the EU's efforts in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Republic of Moldova. It focuses on tangible results of EU's support streamlined through its EU4Business Initiative. The factsheet is available in English, Romanian and Russian.

Hard work has allowed Ukrainian businessmen Yaroslav Boychuk and Alexey Mikitko to build up Dyz-Art, a successful printing company. Now, new equipment bought with the help of a GUF investment loan made available through EU4Business, will allow them to reach a whole new level. They share their success story in this video, prepared by the U open EU project.

In September 2018, the EFSE Entrepreneurship Academy under EU4Business teamed up with EcoVisio to send 16 aspiring young entrepreneurs to the “BusinessCool” in Moldova. Participants and trainers share their experience in this video. The BusinessCool aimed to introduce participants to simple and practical instruments that would encourage them to make the leap from project idea to successful business.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development's (EBRD) 2018-2023 strategy for Ukraine, which sets out the Bank’s priorities in the country.
