A two-day tourism conference is being organised in the resort city of Berdiansk by the Zaporizhia Business Support Centre on 13-14 June.
The conference on ‘Opportunities for Tourism Industry Development in the Region’ – organised in the framework of the EU4Business Network of Business Support Centres implemented by the EBRD – is aimed at owners and managing directors of SMEs in the tourism industry, representatives of industry associations and government bodies – with a focus on the hotel and restaurant business.
The main purpose of the conference is to create a platform for communication and exchange with best practices in the industry, to present new solutions in the tourism sector, to consider the most promising projects and new approaches aimed at increasing the competitiveness of SMEs and improvement of quality in services.
The first day will include discussions around recent trends in the tourism industry and the hospitality business, tools for improving the efficiency of tourism and hotel businesses, including SME support projects, and the importance of technology and the IT industry in the tourist and hotel business.
The second day is an outdoor session including visits to hotel and restaurant facilities, and master classes.
The EU-funded Network of Business Support Centres project aims to improve the competitiveness and bankability of Ukrainian SMEs through the provision of business advice and capacity building. It also supports BSOs in 15 regions of Ukraine in setting up a network of EU4Business Business Support Centres (BSCs). At least 30,000 SMEs and entrepreneurs will benefit from the project.
